Volo in Chicago

Fantastic experience. Food was terrific and service even better. The menu options and wine selections are very refreshing. Highly recommend.

Dollar oyster happy hour was awesome. We had a few dozen for our group. The wine list was comprehensive and we enjoyed their wine flights too. We sat outside in the back which has a very cozy feel.

We went to this restaurant forThe first time on a Sunday evening and it's so cute so romantic ideal for hanging with friends orOn a date. Our waiter Christian was so friendly made great food suggestions as well as provided us with good drinks. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He made our first experience amazing will be back very soon

I took my girlfriend here for an anniversary dinner. Great wine and good food. Felt like a little bit of a splurge price wise but nothing that weekend break the bank.

Especially one with extraordinaire food taste! Our day trip to the city focused on food and Hamilton. We arrived early so we could get down on a great brunch before our show at 2 PM. We wanted it within walking distance of the Orpheum. BB was a perfect choice that met all of our needs.

Volo has a wonderful atmosphere that seems festive during the annual Oyster FestIt has a very good wine list the seems very expensive for the amout of served and the types of wine served.I was at Volo last year and the service, the prices and the food seemed much better.

Stephen has not missed a beat after all these years. We have not been to Volo for a while but it is differently back on our radar again. We didn't eat a lot of food but the food we had was spot on delicious and paired a wine to two to compliment the meal was the perfect finish. Looking forward to future indulging soon at Volo. Great tasting menu and excellent wines. Had the steak tartare, mussels, duck leg, cheeses, mousse everything was tasty. Love the outdoor seating. Service was excellent, Dano was terrific

The reason that this place is so beautifully textured, so pleasing to the eye and palate, and so easy to lose ones self in, is because it a reflection of the amassed knowledge , love and values of the owners and staff. It is delicious, sexy, and dangerously comfertable. Prepare to stay longer than you wanted, drink more than you expected and leave with you body and soul fully satisfied.Did I meantion I really liked this place...

Never fails to impress.

So glad we found Volo recently on a trip to the city and knowing we needed outdoor seating with some ambiance. Dano went out of his way to accommodate us at the last minute on a Friday night. The staff was so friendly and food was just wonderful on a warm summer night. We cannot wait to return. Dano was so accommodating we were surprised to find out it was not his restaurant - we were convinced he was the owner. He is a true gem.

A really cozy and nice place

Great restaurant serving small dishes, selective about the ingredients and presentation. They also offer extensive wine list and have several options for wine flights. I would say they are passionate about the wine and serving food that goes well with it. They have a beautiful little patio/garden that you get to by walking through the restaurant all the way to the back.The patio is so isolated, it's feels like you're not even in the city and the back room has a barn feel to it. Definitely beautiful and contributes to a very relaxing atmosphere. On some days, they have oyster shucker in the back. Overall, great place for a date, or to go out to with friends. The space is not too large, so not sure how they'd accommodate larger groups. Perfect for 2 or 4.

Great food, wonderful wines, and a beautiful restaurant. But the best thing about Volo may be the staff. Smart, fun, and serious about their eats, they will make sure your meal is perfect (and perfectly paired with wine!).

The server let lus taste several wines. We found exactly what we wanted and had a great evening. Had a nosh, too. Lovely time.

Great food and drink. Wonderful cheese selections. Back Patio is covered in winter with heaters, so you get to "eat outside" in March!

First time and definitely returning when I’m back in Chicago. Had the Pinot Noir Flight and had two small plates, staff was very attentive & friendly. Food was great, wine choice was FANTASTIC. The owner even had a small conversation with me and my date just to see how things were going. Highly recommend.

I give Volo 5 stars because they were very friendly and always had what we needed. They also do reservations which was very useful for my family. The appetizers came quickly then shortly after we got our food which was delicious. If you decide to go you should really trie the parmagiana.

Great outside patio - made us feel really comfortable. Staff who took care of us was excellent. Had a wine flight and found one we loved, so we had a glass. Food was great too. Would definitely go back.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Volo. We booked our wedding at Volo in October 2018. The entire experience was great. The owners and staff made it 100% clear that they really cared and were invested in us having the best day possible. The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing and the staff was extremely efficient and accommodating. I would recommend Volo for any private event and also for a meal, as all of the food that we've tried (at the wedding and from going out for dinner other times) has been amazing.

Great wine, great service...always love coming here and is especially great late night when the crowds die down a bit. Definitely recommend a reservation if you have a large group. One of my favorite local wine spots - the service is always very friendly/local vibes.

I've had Bluestem Brasserie bookmarked since before the dinosaurs roamed the earth. The initial reviews were glowing and the comfort food offerings on the menu lit up my food radar like a Christmas tree.

Staff was very accommodating very friendly

We decided to have our company's client appreciation holiday party at Volo. I can't say enough about how great it turned out. The staff was always making sure everyone is taken care of and there is enough food on the table. We will definitely be back for our next party. Thank you Kathleen!

Great food, terrific staff, quality wines. This place supports the community by participating in the local chamber events including the awesome Roscoe Village Wine Crawl.... and they run some terrific tasting events of their own! Check it out!

Beautiful restaurant, wine bar, and an absolutely perfect wedding venue. Jon, Dano, and the entire staff are just incredible. We just had our wedding at Volo and I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. Everything about the night was perfect. Everyone loved the wine, drinks and food, and they accommodated all dietary restrictions. Jon kept everything running smoothly. Volo is cozy and comfortable, and the garden is beautiful and inviting. The atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. I highly recommend Volo for dinner, drinks, or special events!
